The SDR-SS unique hoop-style bag allows for quick dog loading without traditional closures. This eliminates frozen snaps, zippers, or Velcro. The aluminum hoop structure keeps the inside of the bag open like a crate or doghouse, allowing dogs to load easier and feel comfortable once loaded.
Available with zipper fold-down bag.
OUTLAW Steering System
The Outlaw Steering System is a two-part system that utilizes the rotation and carving action of our ski-style runners and a cable-driven bridle guide.
The aircraft-cable bridle is securely attached to the stanchion plates and incorporates bungee dampening. The steering system is a separate mechanism that simply guides the bridle to offset the tow position.
The combined use of these systems prevents bridle failure, which can results in dog teams breaking away from the sled. This system enhances our sleds' steering capabilities and allows the sled to be driven more aggressively in hard turns.
This high-performance capability saves time entering and exiting turns, while reducing strain on your team. Our more positive steering allows the driver to control the back of the team, avoiding objects.
SDR-SS Runners
SDR-SS' unique runner design is based on Nordic skate skis. Their tuned camber settings allow for fast, flat support of the driver, while tracking straight under hard-kicking conditions. Simply changing foot positions increases steering reaction, allowing hard cornering with ease. The STOMP Pads are designed for maximum traction, keeping your feet on the runners and in control. The Poly Rail System allows the runners maximum deflection and like materials ease changing the plastic.
Heim Joints & Suspension
The SDR-SS chassis is constructed using aircraft-quality ball joint rod end bearings. These replaceable bearings ensure tight, infinitely adjustable connections and can easily be replaced when worn. They also allow the chassis to rotate and flex smoothly, as well as making precise adjustment of runner tracking and alignment possible. The front suspension allows the ski fluid movement and ensures maximum contact with the trail surface. The system's ability to absorb the shock of bumps and rough trail condition add to driver control and reduces fatigue.
